You can't change the MAC on an active network connection. Turn off the WiFi and connect using an ethernet cable. Then initiate the process again. This time you should be able to change the MAC with no interference. I'm using Windows 7 Ultimate, when I change MAC address of WiFi device, it says MAC address start from 02.
